Session #10 Final Post

Everything has to end, and sad it happened to the GNML. 1. Reflection

GNML journey taught me a lot. It showed me the things that I didn't know how to do before, such as RSS feed and Facebook company pages. It made me stay up at night finishing my sessions after school homework and made me stronger. Funny to say, but I think I changed in the technological and social way. The most challenging experience for me was RSS/Google Alerts. I never used it before and had no idea what it was. And GNML gave me a determination to find out what was it and learn about it. Who knows, maybe you will be connected to this in your future career :) Also The most important thing that I learned was embedding facebook/twitter/instagram feeds into the blog. It was tough, to be honest! But I got it! And now I love the way how it looks on my blog.

2. Embeds Facebook, twitter, insta are on the blog. Youtube video is posted as a separate post on my blog ;)

3. New posts New posts/ alerts/ thoughts are available on my blog.

4. Campaign Final Reflection
Blogger : before GNML I was familiar with Blogger and writing blogs, but during the sessions I learned how to post youtube videos in the posts and especially embedding feeds from social networks! So hard but so useful!

Twitter : I love twitter! Such a useful platform where you can express what you feel, or share what you found in a minute, not spending long time writing blog posts.

Youtube : Making an youtube video was a lot of fun! It also was a bit hard, because I didn't know how to convert the power point into the actual video, but I learned it and I liked how it came up in the end!

Facebook : I never used the company pages before on Facebook and it was some sort of new experience for me. But the hardest part was finding the code for facebook to post it into the blog feed. So hard!! Stressed me for a bit, but I guess it works pretty good now.

Instagram : Oh Instagram is my favorite part! I love taking pictures, posting pictures, sharing pictures, editing pictures. I just love photography! I think it is my favorite GNML part, picking up the effects and frames and connecting it to the good thing, my campaign :) Hey hey follow me guys haha!

LinkedIn : Never used it on my own before, but heard a lot about it. Very professional and can help your campaign to find professionals who might help you with your issue.

GNML YOU ARE AMAZING! THANKS EVERYONE FOR THIS JOURNEY IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! WE MADE IT GUYS WOHOOOOOO!

Thoughts of the simple Ukrainian

We are Ukrainians. People who were always fighting back. Who can die for their country because it's the only thing that we have to live for. We will never loose. This nation will rather die than betray Ukraine, we are invincible.

When I first thought about the idea of my campaign, the whole life was different. Past three months changed my country. They changed the people and their views on life. They understood that if you want better life - you need to get up and do something, you need to protect your ideas and thoughts and be ready to fight back, any minute.

People are scared, people are nervous and don't know what to wait for. The countdown to the things that will happen is not in days, it's in minutes and hours. We don't have time to prepare, we have to be ready. We have to stand by our colors, flags, and countries.
Some people are thinking about leaving the country in a hard situations, like now, but most of us realized that this is your life, this is what you need to fight for.
There is no need anymore to ask people to respect their anthem and blue-and-yellow flags, they already understood it. Without great nation there will be no great country. And we are great people.

It's funny how three months changed everything that most of the people believed in, everything that we were thinking about. I know that there will be days when we will need to remind people what means to be Ukrainian. Ukrainian from the big letter, not just because of the grammar rules, but because of the great people.
One day we will remind them again, using social media and skills I got while GNML sessions. And now, let's pray that there will be no more deaths and victims for the freedom of Ukraine. Glory to those Heroes!
Glory to Ukraine!

Ukrainian revolution 2013-2014

Latest news

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since my last post, spring in the school is busy!

A lot happened to my but the most important is what happened to my country. I'm still in a shock and am stressed but only thing that we have is to believe, and wait, because we have only time..

According to the last three months we had a major revolution happening in our country, that ended succesfully for the nation and protestors. Here are some pictures, link, and the video that you can watch to figure it out on your own. Tell me what you think and how you feel. It is really important for me.
Thank you!

Falling Population (RSS/Google Alert 2)

Hey there!

My next post is going to be about one more issue that I found using "feedly.com". What an amazing thing are RSS Feed and Google Alerts!! :)

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/ukraine/population

Population of Ukraine the last 10 years extremely fell down. After breaking apart from Soviet Union, more and more people were born in Ukraine and the population was extremely growing. But soon people started seeing things they didn't like without trying to change them and they moved and are still moving from Ukraine to other countries with hope that life there will be better.

Let's not waste our time! Bringing patriotic spirit and raising happiness in our countries we can make people want to do projects with us, we can make them help us with our social campaigns!

Escaping from your home country and community will not help you and your family. You will always remember your brothers and sisters who needed your help, there back home.

As the last diagram shows (sorry for non-English language) in 20-30 years if people will keep moving and population will not grow from the 50 million country to the 25 million! That is terrible! It's like loosing a half of the citizens, loosing the half of the true Ukrainians!

Be proud to be Ukrainian, be proud to be yourself!

Let's Break the Walls (RSS/Google Alert 1)

Hello again,

My second post will be about my thoughts watching a video that I found using the RSS and Google Alerts.
I'm so happy that I watched it, that I encourage everyone to do the same.
This video is showing us, the difference how serious issues in the home-country may affect citizens. After some social/political and economical accidents in Ukraine millions of people understood the real meaning of the words "mother land".

No matter what, anything can happen in our countries, good or bad, but it opens people's eyes, mind and heart. And everything will be fine in the end, it's just the process of growing.

So my idea here is that during such big things in our countries like revolutions or massive people meetings our goal can be reached more quickly and easy. We need to use posters, posts that may interest people on the internet and social networks that will connect people and bring them all together to the one goal.

Hope you will like it and make some decisions for yourself.

P.S. in Ukrainian "Stina" means "The Wall". and so the main words that the singer in singing is "Let's break the walls between us".
